BE A BLESSING!

Its been a while since i wrote, but many exciting things are happening!!

As we go into the 100K Challenge, my heart is full of excitement at what God is going to do in our midst. Hearing Ed Silvoso gave me renewed faith to see winning a city a possibilityagain. It just begins with each of us, in twos and threes establishing a perimeter and a beach-head till we conquer the enemy's territory.

I have already began to see that firstly in my own family...with my parents saved in the past yr or so, as i faithfully pray and bless them, and now together we are blessing people in this 100K campaign. Just this week, we blessed an exchange student that has became a friend of my mum as she stayed over nite in our house. Her desire is to find a job real soon as she gets back. I am sure we will see answered prayers come to past.

My students too began to ask me "What is prayer?" as i asked if they wished to be blessed and prayed for. This has open the door for me to share Christ to them and the goodness of God.

Dear spiritual children...God is teaching us something valuable. Lets learn to BLESS, Fellowship, Pray and then Proclaim. Many times we do it in the reverse order. Indeed, doing acts of kindness and love will give us the right to enter their life and ultimately to share the ultimate love, God's love for them.

There are many NEEDS out there. God wants to use each of us to be that vessel of love and blessing. Would you avail yourself this day to be that BLESSING?

Catching the Heart of God and our Spiritual Father

This week's service was special. I was reminded again why FCBC and our spiritual fathers meant so much to me. Am proud to have a senior pastor and spiritual father of FCBC like Ps Khong. His desire to walk in faith, having God's heart and pressing in to do what God has called Him has always been something that i believe and catch from. Seeing him preach like this, energises me and reaffirm many things i have done.

Sons and grandsons, this song was the deep cry of my heart the past week. May we grow to be consumed with Jesus and His very heart.

Would you follow me and make this prayer for your life today ?

Heal my heart and make it clean,
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything i am for your kingdom's cause

Back from Muar!

My grandsons aspires to be like me. Lines of wisdom on the face!

Try to get the peanut on my nose guys!

They did it! Yum yum!
My sons and grandsons in the Lord
As usual, Muar prayer house is really a blessing from the Lord. I am glad FCBC didnt sell it away. Haha. I enjoy the quiet times with the Lord and the short times i had with my sons and grandsons. Indeed its a joy always to see the spiritual family and to laugh and fellowship with them.
Seeking God has to be deliberate. In the sense we all need to go into the inner courts of the Lord, so that in that intimate communion with Him we can see clearly his plans and purposes. Many of us are far too distracted with many things in life to really come into that place with the Lord. The Holy Spirit desires to do 4 things for us in light of 1 Cor 2:9-12:
a. Open our spiritual eyes so that we can see what God has for us
b. Gives us understanding of what he has freely given us
c. Gives us confidence to Speak spiritual truths
d. Gives us boldness and compassion to ACT.

In this Year of Victory would you first go into that place of intimate communion with the Lord. You will find Victory through the Holy Spirit.

With Unity comes a Greater Destiny

Hi guys, apologies for the long delay in the blog. Just came back from a retreat with the 288 in Desaru.

One of the things that God spoke so clearly to me was when each of the 12 groups from various tribes came together to build a sand City or what we normally term sand castles. Condition only is that it must be linked to each other.

Working in 1hr 15 mins, each of the groups came up with beautiful sand castles and citiess and when all of us completed our own city, what was formed was a great monopolis.

Indeed when we have a coporate destiny, lets believe we can fulfill our individual calling, whether it is to build the sand walls or the roads etc...but in one heart, one mind in the Lord, we can do so much more.

Indeed Unity results in so much more, a greater Destiny!

Today, would you ask God to help you fulfill your personal calling and at the same time fulfill that coporate calling as His Body.

The Day GOD SPOKE!

In 1998, i remember i woke up one morning with a fresh desperation to hear the voice of God. Jesus said my sheep knows my voice and hears Him, and though i know God has spoken to me in various ways, deep in my heart i know i lack the intimacy that God desires to have with me.

WHY? LORD.... will you speak to me clearly!!!

God says: " Son, IF I SPEAK, will you OBEY?"

Adrian : " EERrrm.... YES LORD!!..."

God says: " Today, you will meet your ex-college friend (Wen xing) along the day and you shall speak to him about me...Would you?

Adrian:" What!!?? You sure Lord? But he different engineering faculty from me...But..But..."

God was silent. I knew it was a simple test of obedience on my part.

Evening came that day, and there was no sign of Wenxing. I WAS HAPPY!!! Because being a young Christian that time, i was still shy about sharing the gospel and so i took Bus no. 10 home from NUS. I knew the chances of meeting him was NIL as Wenxing stays in Ang Mo Kio (or was it Toa Poayoh) and Bus 10 goes to the East.

As Bus no.10 passes by World Trade Centre, i FROZE as i saw Wenxing up the double decker Bus. I was SHOCKED. Wah Piangz! So accurate huh God? You really spoke and know the everything. I shared the Gospel with Wenxing that day. He used to be a harden Buddist but that day, i knew it was a miracle itself when he listened openly to the Good news. Well...he didnt recieve Christ that day, but this valuable seed that God told me to plant would one day bear fruit!

Today if you want to know God's voice in a new way, simply OBEY his gentle voice and you will begin to see the reality of His presence in your life!

Treasuring the times, treasuring family

My last few post focus alot on precious lessons that God taught me as well as some of my life journey and there are many more to come in my posts next week. But today, i will just relax and share some thoughts with you.

Time really flies and i remember this picture was was taken some time early last year. And yes, its in SINGAPORE! We need to pause sometimes and give thanks to God for this life that we are living, for our loved ones, our physical and spiritual family. We normally rush through each day without contemplating on what really matters. I realise what really matters is that each day we live fufilling His purposes, being a blessing to others and treasuring what God has given to us. Just as God gave His unconditional love to us while we are yet sinners, i also want to live that life giving and sowing unconditionally.

This is an old picture taken just maybe 3 years ago 2004 (i think). Since then many things have changed, many things have happened. But in all things, today i just want to give thanks for every life featured here of my spiritual sons. I realise time or events shouldnt determine sonship. In the past week, i have committed to pray for one thing in every of my spiritual sons life till i see it happen.

Today, would you give and be a blessing unconditionally to someone?

Be like a Child

This is a picture of Justin, one of my favourite kid at sunday school in Timothy Club. Isnt he cute??!!! And guess what! He is putting on the Helmet of Salvation that we made together!!! Well, most of the helmet was made by myself and given to him free...all he did was to accept it and wear it..

Isnt salvation the same? God gave himself to us freely so that we can recieve not only salvation but every promise and blessings that come from the cross. The only condition on our part is to recieve and believe just like a little child.

Dear spiritual children, today may you grow in Child-like faith. God is good but unless we become like a little child, we will never inherit all of His promises.
