A Noun or A Verb? I still dont Know!

The previous picture was taken when i was 13. I remember trembling with fear as the class teacher called my name. There was one such incident i was asked : "ADRIAN! Can u answer this question? Is the word "attack" a verb or a noun?" Stumbling upon my words..i said it was a noun...

In deep frustration..she says show me "attack".....i went to the back of the classroom gave her 'a tag' from the notice board. The whole class gave a thunderous laugh. That teacher said " I cant believe this! Get back to your seat!"

That incident, left me afraid to speak to crowds. Even speaking to a group of 3 people or more, i wouldnt dare look them in the eye. I wasnt popular due to my looks and size, and there was always a fear of rejection.

Although things got better in latter teens, i never really got over my fear of public speaking. But God has a way of allowing me to face my fears all over again. Will there be Victory as i face this battle again?

Vitamin C or No Vitamin C?? That's not the point!

You may have read recently about the fact that a group of New Zealand school girls found virtually NO vitamin C in Ribena!!! Being a Ribena fan, i was kinda "put off" at being fooled all these years. Even though AVA later verified that Ribena sold in Singapore is indeed rich in Vitamin C, this incident left me thinking deep...

Is having Vitamin C or not the point? Nope! The point is we can be so easily decieved.

Small as this example may be, our lives indeed will have no bearing or anchor point if we go around recieving everything the world tells us. God's promises are true. In this season of Going Deep, lets anchor our lives and claim victory through the promises of God.

You can be guranteed of the Vitamin C that comes from it!

The Greater your Battle, the Bigger your Destiny?

The word battle appears 208 times in the bible. David first personal battle was to overcome rejection and a not so prestigious title of a shepherd. But he did it willingly and faithfully. He overcame the bears, the lion, big bad Goliath and the Philistine Army. He overcame the pursued of all his enemies, betrayals and loneliness in the caves. He remained faithful, he remain God fearing. Each day seems like an endless fight, an endless battle.

All this because David was destined to be KING.

Do not belittle the battles you fight today. Honor the Lord, believe in His power. The Battles you fight today may just determine your destiny. The Greater your Battle, the Bigger your destiny. Its a Year of Victory!

You want Victory? Face the Battles

I have always enjoyed playing Battle Games. From Dota, to 3 Kingdoms to Warrior Kings to older games like Ultima. The Reason: Simple, because the Victory that comes after every Battle gives a great sense of accomplishment(virtual as it is).

As i ponder over this year of Victory, it becomes real to me that without battles to fight, there can be no real proclamation of Victory, no character to be molded and no faith to be tested. We need to face each battle, knowing we can win, and knowing that all the preparation in your past, is meant to allow you to face that battle.

This past 3 months have been months of various battles. Looking back, these battles are necessary so that i can experience true Victory. David defeated Goliath. His victory is comes when he was prepared to face his battle.

Are you prepared to face your battles today, so that it would be a year of Victory?
